The American College of Physicians together with the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health set up a website (www.MedlinePlus.gov) to help you find information that helps you understand your diagnosis, comply with your physician’s orders and take care of yourself between physician visits. The web site includes 750 topics on conditions, diseases and wellness; over 165 interactive tutorials, information on drugs and supplements, an encyclopedia, a dictionary, current health news and more.

The Nix Health Care Foundation Resource Center is your partner in finding reliable, up-to-date information to make you a wiser health care consumer. We have a library of public health education brochures that we distribute at no cost to patients, family members, and the general public.

What if you don't have a computer or Internet access? You may come to the Nix Foundation's office in the Nix Medical Center, 414 Navarro, Suite 1015, where our Resource Center computers offer Internet access.
