Therapeutic Heart Pillows
Your help is needed to send well wishes along with a homemade heart-shaped pillow to patients recovering from cardiac or breast surgery. Therapeutic Heart Pillows bring comfort and cheer in the hospital room and long after surgery. They help ease pain and swelling and assist the patient in the recovery process. We need people who can sew pillows from their home as well as donate fabric and fiberfill. Cash donations are also accepted.
Call (210) 579-3157 for more information.

Nix Volunteer Services
Many people in San Antonio choose to give up some of their spare time to help causes in the community that are close to their hearts. The Nix Health Foundation has a program for volunteers to provide customer service and comfort to the patients and family members of Nix Health. Volunteer areas include: Information Desk on the 17th floor, Surgical Waiting Room, Nursing Units, and Hospitality Cart.
"I am only one. But still, I am one. I cannot do every thing, but still I can do something, and because I cannot do every thing, I will not refuse to do something that I can do." - Edward Everett Hale, American Author and Unitarian Clergyman
